We're seeking an exceptional Cryptography Engineer to join our startup as a key member of our core engineering team. In this role, you'll have significant impact on our product architecture and technology direction.

We're a venture-backed startup founded by technologists from MIT, Columbia, Google, Ethereum Foundation, Polygon, and more. The team is launching the first of its kind Layer 1 blockchain, which leverages the next deep-tech technologies.
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for a talented, forward-thinking cryptographer who can research and develop cutting-edge cryptosystems. You'll provide technical leadership, mentor junior team members, and collaborate closely with software engineers and mathematicians to drive our cryptographic implementations forward.
- Research and develop new cryptographic protocols with a focus on areas such as advanced signature schemes / ZKP / PQ cryptography
- Implement cryptographic algorithms in Rust / C++ / Golang ensuring security efficiency and correctness
- Work on the full lifecycle of cryptographic primitives from formal proofs and security analysis to efficient implementation
- Participate in security reviews and threat modeling
- Stay current with cryptographic research and emerging security threats.
- Deep understanding of modern cryptographic primitives and protocols
- Experience implementing and analyzing cryptographic systems
- Proficiency in systems programming languages (Rust / C++ / Go)
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex cryptographic concepts into practical implementations.
- Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Computer Science Mathematics or related field with focus on cryptography
- Experience with quantum cryptography
- Contributions to open-source cryptography projects or research publications
- Background in formal verification of cryptographic protocols.
